Does this ring true for many colleagues?

…….. At the Magistrates Court the next day, Len was giving evidence of how he arrested the man, told him he was being taken to Bexley Police Station, where later he was charged, the charge was read over to him and he was cautioned, making no reply.

Turning to the accused, the Magistrate asked if he had anything to say, and in a very indignant voice he said ” It wasn’t like that at all! I was hiding behind a hedge when he leapt over, grabbed me by the collar, and said “You’re mine you bastard!”

Looking over the top of his specs the Magistrate said “Is that true officer?” and without blinking an eye Len said “No your Worship.”

The case was found proved, and they both got put away for a suitable period.
